With every dollar raised, Tate’s Army will develop and disseminate lawn mower and machinery safety information for families and communities, as well as contribute to a direct assistance fund for families affected by accidents involving lawn mower & machinery equipment.

Tate Manahl was just three when he was accidentally run over by a lawnmower. His injuries were severe and life-threatening from the stomach down. He was airlifted to The University of Iowa Stead Family and Children’s Hospital, where doctors would fight to save his life and his legs.

University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital is designed as a healing environment that improves the health and well-being of children and their families.
