Tate’s Army Foundation wants to help you learn how to mow S.A.F.E.. Download our flyer for helpful tips, including how children should never be outside when someone is mowing. It is suggested that a person be at least 12 years old to operate a push mower and at least 16 years old for a riding mower. The flyer also reminds you to always mow forward. Backing up can increase the risk of accidentally hitting a child or another object you didn’t see behind you. Additionally, you should never allow children to ride on a lawn mower. Riding mowers are powerful machines, not toys, and should never be used for fun or transport. Before you begin, take a few minutes to educate yourself on how the mower works and review the mowing S.A.F.E. practices. Following these tips can save lives.
